I am RICH!!

For my last post for Sept, I want to share with you a couple of ways to get rich!! Ya.... right!

This morning, I saw 2 messages in my gmail account. One was purportedly from BMW Group yearly sweepstakes. Here's the message

Ref. Number: NL1/421/110/00NL.
We wish to inform you of the BMW GROUP Yearly sweepstakes program that your Email Address has won an Award sum of a total cash prize of 850,000.00 Euros (Eight hundred and fifty thousand euros) in this "category A" email raffle draw.Contact the Agency below for your prize claim. Please endeavour to do so immediately.
You can stake your claim by the following informations:

Sex:
Address:
Telephone number:
Occupation
Monthly Salary
Country of Residence:
blah blah blah blah.

On the 0.00000000000001% chance that this might be true, I called up BMW Motors to confirm. Yup - they confirmed it alright - it's a scam. Damn - 850K Euros gone just like that!!

The second message was even more ludicrous. Here is is

Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace.I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health, and because of the presence of my husband's relatives around me sometimes. I don't want them to know about this development, but I know that With God all things are possible.As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Financial institution in Ivory coast. I will also give you all information regarding the deposit of this money. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will empower you as the original- beneficiary of this fund. I want you and your church to always pray for me because God work in misterious ways. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Who ever that wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth. US15 million!!! I am rich. And I certainly am because these 2 con people will not get a single sen out of me. HAH!!

Only later I realized that Gmail actually has a SPAM folder where such messages were placed. I looked in there and found variations of the above in at least 20 other messages.

Man I was rich and I did not know it. Hasta la Vista baby!!
